Mezopotamya Sarayi

Mezopotamya Sarayı

48 Rooms & Suites
Established 1620

About This Property

Mezopotamya Sarayi occupies one of Mardin's most significant historical buildings—a grand merchant's palace built in 1620 during the Ottoman golden age. Perched on the ancient city's hillside, our 48 rooms feature the distinctive honey-colored limestone, intricate stone carvings, and soaring arched ceilings that make Mardin architecture world-renowned. Many original elements have been preserved, including hand-carved wooden doors, stone fountains, and ceiling medallions. Panoramic terraces offer mesmerizing views across the Mesopotamian plains, particularly stunning at sunset when the landscape glows amber and gold. Our restaurant serves the distinctive cuisine of the region—fragrant spices, hand-rolled pasta, and recipes passed down through generations of Mardin families.
